Title: THE GUELPH COALITION FOR ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION - NIGHT RIDE Mike Darmon and Mike Hager from the Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation (GCAT) provided a presentation on the GCAT organization and played a video illustrating the Bike the Night Event. Mr. Darmon and Mr. Hager discussed slides concerning the following topics: * The GCAT's mission and approach to promote active transportation; * The organizations approach for advocacy; * Resources to learn about active transportation; * The Bikes for Community Connections project; * The goals and inspiration of the Bike the Night Event; * Pictures illustrating the Event; * Other cycling events promoting active transportation; and * Successes and lessons learned from active transportation events. Members of the Committee asked a number of questions to Mr. Darmon and Mr. Hager and received responses.
