PRESENTATION CONCERNING THE COUNTY OF SIMCOE 2022 BUDGET REQUEST
Trevor Wilcox, General Manager of Corporate Performance from the County of Simcoe provided a presentation concerning the 2022 County of Simcoe Budget Request and the Municipal services provided to the City of Barrie. He advised that Jane Sinclair, General Manager of Health and Emergency Services, Greg Bishop, General Manager of Social and Community Services, and Lealand Sibbick, Treasurer for the County of Simcoe were available to answer any questions after the presentation.
Mr. Wilcox discussed slides concerning the following topics:
• A chart illustrating the County of Simcoe Operating and Capital Budgets between 2019 to 2022;
• The services provided by the County of Simcoe to the City of Barrie;
• A summary of the Municipal Services Agreement associated to services and cost sharing;
• The Social and Community Services 2022 Budget impacts;
• The Health and Emergency Services 2022 Budget impacts;
• The County of Simcoe’s COVID-19 pandemic expenditures;
• The County Safe Restart Funding allocated to the City of Barrie and County of Simcoe;
• The 2022 Capital Budget associated to Municipal and Non-Municipal Funding Capital Projects; and
• A summary of the 2022 Budget impacts.
Members of Council asked a number of questions of Mr. Wilcox, Ms. Sinclair and Mr. Bishop and received responses.
