Title: FIREBIRD COMMUNITY CYCLE Grant Wilson and Geri Poisson of Firebird Community Cycle provided an overview on the Firebird Community Cycle, a not-for-profit bicycle repair shop. He advised that the Firebird Community Cycle would like to partner with the City to provide bicycle repair stations at City facilities and community centres and Barrie Go Train Stations. Mr. Wilson further advised that Firebird will be applying for the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative grant program to fund the bicycle repair stations and to provide bike repair tutorials. He inquired about the City possibly providing a letter of support to be submitted with their application in June, 2021. Mr. Wilson noted they are hoping to have the bicycle stations in place for summer, 2022. Members of the Committee asked a number of questions to Mr. Wilson and Mr. Poisson and received responses.
