S. Chalmers on behalf of Patrick Scott, Chairperson for the Barrie Terry Fox Run Committee provided an open delegation regarding the request to waive permit fees associated with the Barrie Terry Fox Run.
Ms. Chalmers provided the following comments:
· The Barrie Terry Fox Run Committee is a volunteer organization and does not have any paid employees;
· The Committee does not have an operating budget for expenses associated with hosting the event and it does not receive corporate sponsorships;
· The Committee relies solely on any in-kind donations from the community to cover expenses;
· That proceeds from the event are forwarded directly to the Terry Fox Foundation.
Members of the Committee asked several questions related to the information provided and received responses from the presenter and City staff. | Received | |
