Stephannie Schlichter, Director of Economic and Creative Development advised that a delegation from Saginaw, Michigan will be visiting the City of Barrie between November 12, 2025, and November 14, 2025. Ms. Schlichter provided an overview of their itinerary. The Committee members provided their feedback to Ms. Schlichter on their availability during the delegations visit.
The Committee discussed costs associated with hosting the delegation from Saginaw, Michigan and agreed to increase to approval of the of the expenditure up to $4,000.00 from $3,000.00 as previously approved at the Committee’s meeting on October 2, 2025. | Received | |

Jamie Babcock provided an update concerning the Global Perspectives Program, and advised that the Goodbye Party held in October, 2025 went very well.
Jamie Babcock discussed a proposal for a hockey team exchange with Germany and plans to meet with representatives of the Barrie Minor Hockey Association. Mark Sachkiw discussed plans for himself and Jean Maurice to assist with organizing the adult portion of the hockey team exchange.
The Committee asked questions related to the use of City transit for the hockey team. Stephannie Schlicher, Director of Economic and Creative Development will look into it and report back at the next meeting. | Received | |
