Riepma shared information on the budget allotment approved by Council, explaining that his expectation is that Council will give staff direction to proceed and to report back to Council with a terms of reference for the architect, suggestions for a steering committee, and how to implement the recommendations of the task force. Councillor Riepma outlined some of the recommendations of the task force to Council, such as seating in both the main and orchestra levels, a second theatre, a fly tower, stage size, a multi-purpose room, and backstage requirements. | Received | |

Stephannie Schlichter indicated that a staff report was put before Council in November concerning the implementation of the Cultural Grant Program, now known as the Arts and Cultural Investment Fund. Ms. Schlichter provided that staff made a recommendation for an annual contribution as part of the operating cost for 2022. She further mentioned that due to COVID-19, there has been a delayed return to performance, whereas staff did request additional funding for support because of reduced audience size due to capacity restrictions that Council did accept. It was also mentioned that the online application process has been launched and closes January 31, 2022.
