Adam McMullin, Manager of Energy Management from the Corporate Facilities department provided a presentation regarding Sustainability Initiatives - City of Barrie Energy Management and Greenhouse Gas Mitigation.
Mr. McMullin discussed slides concerning the following topics:
· Objectives of the presentation and the current mandate;
· Overview of the Activities provided from 2022 to present;
· City goals and projects moving forward; and
· Current collaboration and engagement opportunities.

a) Circular Economy:
The team lead provided an update regarding Repair Café’s and that they met with the library who is looking to increase the amount of Repair Café’s that are currently happening. The next Repair Café is taking place on April 5. The team lead will circulate the next two events to the committee.
b) Building, Energy and Housing:

c) Food Productions and Security:
This update was deferred to the next meeting.
d) Active and Non-Active Transportation:
The team lead provided an update regarding looking into if the city has a standard for roads design and if there is a system in place to track traffic.
