TMP-33118 11.1 Presentation - AC/RCE-BIKES - WATERFRONT LICENSING ACTIVITIES PROGRAM UPDATE Stephanie Wideman, Parks Program Coordinator, provided a presentation to the committee regarding E-Bikes - Waterfront Licensing Activities Program Update. Ms. Wideman discussed slides concerning the following topics: · Waterfront Licensing Activities and current activations; · Overview of Scooty, the Centennial Beach location and the current ride season; · Heat map of Barrie usage and operational season; and · Future expansions and next steps. Members of Committee asked a number of questions and received responses. TMP-33140 12.2 Discussion ItemUPDATES FROM WORKING GROUPS: a) Environment and Nature The group did not provide any updates. Councillor AM. Kungl provided comments on the Bird Friendly City, ecological offsetting and tree planting, and status of the Little Lake Master Plan. Councillor AM. Kungl advised that she would invite staff from Development Services Department to a future meeting to provide an update on ecological offsetting and tree planting, and the Little Lake Master Plan. b) Circular Economy The group provided an update concerning the repair café’s downtown, and the pilot project to expand the program into retirement communities and other library locations. The team lead advised that World Environment Day takes place on June 5, 2025. The group also provided an update on a company that offers a reusable cup program available to independent cafes. The group advised that they were going to connect with the BIA and Georgian College about the reusable cup program.
