| 1 | | | Student/Mayor Item | COMMENTS FROM OUTGOING STUDENT MAYOR(S):
Jaelynn Goodman of Codrington Public School provided comments on her term as Student Mayor. Jaelynn thanked members of Council, Mayor Jeff Lehman and the staff at Codrington Public School for the opportunity to participate in the Student Mayor program. She commented that during her term as Student Mayor she had an opportunity to observe the internal politics that occur in a City that she lives in. She noted that she observed a variety of matters and issues that City Council address on a daily basis. She highlighted that she now has a better appreciation of the decision making process of the municipality. She advised that she had the opportunity to observe how efficient and professional matters are addressed in the Council Chambers. Jaelynn acknowledged that by participating in the Student Mayor program it has provided her with a learning opportunity of a lifetime. In closing, Jaelynn suggested that more students should participate in the Student Mayor program.
