Sonya Anderson provided an Open Delegation regarding the proposed raised intersection at Stapleton Crescent and Cumming Drive.
Ms. Anderson explained that she represents residents in the area which includes Cumming Drive, Stapleton Crescent, Emms Drive and Loon Avenue. Ms. Anderson discussed the following concerns and comments:
· The lack of communication regarding the proposed raised intersection and curb bump out traffic calming measures;
· The possible safety concerns associated with the proposed traffic calming measures;
· The petition she circulated to her neighbous requesting that the project be halted, signed by 178 individuals;
· The results of the survey circulated by the City of Barrie to the residents who live in the vicinity of the intersection;
· The cost associated with the installation of the traffic calming measures;
· The current posted speed in the neighbourhood;
· The effectiveness of traffic calming measures;
