Mona Boyd, Horticulture Foreperson, provided an update concerning the 2025 Communities in Bloom Program. Ms. Boyd advised that registration has begun for the 2025 CIB Program, and registration forms are available on the City’s website and at City facilities. Ms. Boyd stated that she will provide an update at the next meeting concerning the criteria for the “Healthier Liveable City” category.
Ms. Boyd stated that the Communities in Bloom judges are scheduled to visit the City of Barrie between July 23 to July 25, 2025. The Committee discussed the preparations for the Communities in Bloom judges' visit, including itinerary, logistics, communications, and tour locations. Councillor, AM. Kungl will draft presentation material and follow up at the next Committee meeting.
Ms. Boyd advised that the 2025 Communities in Bloom Symposium is scheduled for October 17 to October 19, 2025, in Stratford, Ontario.
