Mayor Nuttall recognized and congratulated Logan Lehman and Camryn George from the Barrie North Collegiate Debate Team who placed first as a team at the Ontario Secondary School Debating Union (OSDU) Bilingual provincials and were the first team in Simcoe County to win this award. Additionally, Camryn placed second overall in the top speaker portion, and Logan placed first overall speaker in the provincial competition.
They spoke to national recognition as well and advised that their team placed 17th at the National Debate Competition for French debate. They indicated that Logan placed 11th and Camryn placed 20th for overall speaking. Logan commented that they were the first team in Simcoe County to compete bilingually.
Mayor Nuttall presented certificates to Logan Lehman and Camryn George.
