Jessica Gourlie, Bright Futures Barrie Project Lead provided a background of the Bright Futures Barrie Project including its focus on supporting community programs for individuals between the 6 to 26 years old. Ms. Gourlie advised that the City of Barrie was awarded federal grant funding to support the development of the Bright Futures Barrie Strategy. Ms. Gourlie discussed next steps including the creation of a youth survey and suggested that the Youth Council work with Bright Futures Barrie on a survey.
