Tammie Maynard, Legislative Coordinator, provided an update concerning the Committee's budget. The Committee reviewed their 2025 budget and will allocate $5,000.00 towards printing of historic neighbourhood guides and $10,000.00 towards heritage plaques for the bulk designation properties.
The Committee approved an expenditure from the Heritage Barrie Committee budget for the early-bird registration fees (approximately $700.00) for two members to attend the 2025 Ontario Heritage Conference in Prince Edward County in June 2025. The Committee member who was in attendance attending the conference acknowledged and agreed that they are responsible for all other costs associated with the conference including, but not limited to, accommodation, mileage and meals, to have funds available for other committee initiatives. The Committee members agreed that the members attending the conference may have additional costs considered if the committee has a budget to support it in May and June. | Received | |
