Geoff Waters, Chair of the City of Barrie’s Investment Board provided a presentation regarding the 2021 Investment Management Report.
Mr. Waters discussed slides concerning the following topics:
· A year in review;
· The North American equity market, 2021 performance;
· The Canadian fixed income indices 2021 total return - Bond underperformed equities;
· The rising commodity prices;
· The investment performance for the total fund;
· The overall asset allocation;
· The operating fund from the ubiquity fund;
· The capital fund based on fixed income securities;
· The growth fund solely based on equity investments;
· The topics discussed at an Investment Board meeting;
· The environmental, social, and governance factors and the integration; and
· The CFA Institute and the Principles for Responsible Investment.
