TMP-28121 2  Presentation - AC/RCPRESENTATION CONCERNING BARRIE TRANSIT SERVICES Jason Zimmerman, Supervisor Transit Operations and Infrastructure and Julie MacDonald, Transit Coordinator provided a presentation concerning an update on Barrie’s transit services. Mr. Zimmerman and Ms. MacDonald discussed slides concerning the following topics: · The Committee’s accessibility concerns to City transit services; · Meeting the concerns and what is new to transit services; · Site concepts for the Allandale Mobility Hub; · An overview on the Transit Vision Project; · A summary on the Barrie Transit ON-Demand Pilot associated to design, and expansion potential; · The MyRide Barrie app improvements; · The public health measures in place to assist transit staff and riders; · Booking software upgrades and updates; · The improvements made to the Specialized Transit Fleet; · The Province’s Enabling Change Campaign and transit accessibility; · The Barrie Transit Magnus Cards; and · The Senior Transit Fares. TMP-28122 2  Discussion ItemINTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES Cheryl Dillon, Diversity Management Specialist provided an update concerning International Day of Persons with Disabilities which takes place annually on the 3rd of December. She advised that the Mayor’s Office has been contacted to prepare a proclamation for International Day of Persons with Disabilities Day for December 3, 2021.
