TMP-27983 1  Presentation - AC/RCTRANSIT AND PARKING STRATEGY - TRANSPORTATION Jason Zimmerman, Supervisor of Transit Operations and Infrastructure and Julie MacDonald, Transit Coordinator provided of a presentation updating the programs, services and technology upgrades for Barrie Transit. Mr. Zimmerman and Ms. MacDonald discussed slides concerning the following topics: · What’s new at Barrie Transit; · The Allandale Mobility Hub concepts for a new terminal and downtown mini-hub; · The Transit Vision Project; · An update on the Barrie Transit on Demand Pilot design and expansion potential; · Updates to MyRide Barrie; · The COVID-19 public health measurers for riders; · Upgrades to booking software with Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and a Trapeze PASS version update; · The Specialized Transit Fleet to improve ridership for clients and equipped with InQline Assist system; and · Transit services and current fares for seniors. TMP-27985 1  Discussion ItemSENIORS EVENTS/INFORMATION/UPDATES Jessica Gourlie, Recreation Programmer advised that Heather Kenehan, Recreation Programmer will be taking her place as advisory support to the Committee. Ms. Gourlie provided a brief update on the 55+ Centre. She discussed transit training, free Thursday transit for seniors, meeting with Evan McCraney of the Gilbert Centre regarding the All-Bodies opportunities, in-person programming at the Centres, and the possibility of additional opportunities for the Committee.   Action details Not available
