TMP-27992 1  Presentation - AC/RCTHE GUELPH COALITION FOR ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION - NIGHT RIDE Mike Darmon and Mike Hager from the Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation (GCAT) provided a presentation on the GCAT organization and played a video illustrating the Bike the Night Event. Mr. Darmon and Mr. Hager discussed slides concerning the following topics: · The GCAT’s mission and approach to promote active transportation; · The organizations approach for advocacy; · Resources to learn about active transportation; · The Bikes for Community Connections project; · The goals and inspiration of the Bike the Night Event; · Pictures illustrating the Event; · Other cycling events promoting active transportation; and · Successes and lessons learned from active transportation events.
