Dyke, Culture Officer - Development provided an update on the Culture Social Event comprising of attendees, which consisted of members of the community, the Simcoe County Music Festival, literary and visual artists, the networking and socializing of the new and returning attendees, presentations that discussed where things have been, where things are going, achievements and goals since the start of the pandemic, upcoming events and current opportunities, as well as the arts awards and nominations. Members of the Committee that were in attendance at the Culture Social provided insight and comments on the event, as well as discussed the engagement of everyone in attendance, the setting and venue, the presentations and getting feedback.Received  Action details Not available
TMP-29333 1  Discussion ItemVENUE UPDATES Rob Bell, Director of Recreation and Culture provided an updated presentation on the Performing Arts Venues. Mr. Bell discussed slides containing the following updates: · The Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Performing Arts Centre has been released; · Masking requirements for the Georgian Theatre have been lifted, the Georgian Agreement is within the final stages and being reviewed by the City’s Executive Management Team, and the events scheduled for the month of June; · The events hosted by the Five Points Theatre Presented by Pratt Homes and Pratt Homes Development; and · The successes and future bookings of the Eastview Arena.
