Ms. Palmer discussed slides concerning the following topics: * The vision, mission and values of the Barrie Food Bank; * An overview on the community funded charity; * Statistics associated to seniors using the Barrie Food Bank by age; * A bar graphs illustrating during the pandemic, the number of individuals and individuals 60+ that used the Food Bank from January 1, 2019 to October 31, 2021 and the costs of food and housing among low income earners in Simcoe Muskoka in 2019; * A summary of scenarios based on individuals and families in the County of Simcoe and monthly income, living expenses, nutritious food basket and food costs; * The low barrier access to food for Barrie and Innisfil residents; and * The food available at the Barrie Food Bank. Sharon Palmer from the Barrie Food Bank provided a presentation concerning the Food Bank and serving Barrie’s vulnerable individuals and families.

 

Ms. Palmer discussed slides concerning the following topics:

 

                     The vision, mission and values of the Barrie Food Bank;

                     An overview on the community funded charity;

                     Statistics associated to seniors using the Barrie Food Bank by age;
