Title: PRESENTATION CONCERNING THE DRAFT COMMUNITY SAFETY WELLBEING PLAN Police Chief K. Greenwood provided a brief overview of the status of the draft Community Safety Well-Being Plan. Police Chief K. Greenwood provided a brief overview of the status of the draft Community Safety Well-Being Plan. Chief Greenwood introduced Alex Way from Mass LBP to provide a presentation concerning a Progress Update Report of the Barrie Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.

 

Mr. Way discussed slides concerning the following topics:

 

                     An overview of the development of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan;

                     The legislative requirements related to the development of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan;

                     A chart summarizing the July 6, 2020 draft action items;

                     A chart illustrating the updated and reorganized identified risk factors;

                     Charts summarizing the action items, priority risks and organized into the following four new action themes of the plan:

                     A safer Barrie by working together;

                     Safety is for everyone; and

                     An example of the table of contents of the Plan; and

                     The next steps in the process.

 

 

Members of Committee asked a number of questions of the presenter and Chief Greenwood and received responses.

 

In closing, Councillor, N. Harris and Chief Greenwood thanked everyone for their assistance with the preparation of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.
